Creative Arts Director | Full-Time
The Creative Arts Director role is an opportunity to invest in the life of NorthEast Christian Church (NCC) through the artistic expression of music in worship. This role is responsible for planning and leading worship during weekend services and oversees the development and growth of the worship and tech team/program.
SUPPORT
The Creative Arts Director supports the NCC vision by giving attention to living at the highest level of moral integrity, faithful attendance of church services, maintaining a positive spirit, and serving the Lord with excellence in all areas of ministry.
EXPECTATIONS
The Creative Arts Director is highly communicative, well organized, and displays the heart of a servant leader in all areas. This role shows high competency in knowledge and understanding of music in worship, as well as knowledge of integrated programs and systems such as Planning Center, Multitracks, Pro Tools, etc. The Creative Arts Director should be able to make meaningful connections with volunteers teams, NCC staff, and overall congregation as they seek to shepherd and guide others closer to Jesus. This role also displays high moral and spiritual character as we embrace the call found in John chapter 3:30.
Creative Arts Director role responsibilities include:
- Oversees creating the flow of service for all weekend services
- Works alongside the Lead Team to plan and execute all Sunday services and special events
- Spearheads recruiting, training, and equipping all NorthEast Worship Volunteers (band, vocals, tech, etc)
- Contains a working knowledge of all scheduling and worship systems (Planning Center, Multitracks, etc.)
- Pastorally shepherd staff, interns, and worship volunteers
- Works with the Production Director in programming Sunday Services including Pro Presenter | Vista Lighting | Blackmagic Video | Playback/Multitracks | etc
- Equips volunteers with necessary chord charts, backing tracks, and other resources weekly
- Works with the Production Director in executing weekly tasks and goals pertaining to the worship center and stage upkeep
- Organize, schedule, and equip the worship team on a weekly basis, including weekly rehearsals
- Invest in the Spiritual and musical development of the worship team members
