At NorthEast, our volunteers are the backbone of ministry. You can make a difference with your time by serving in a role that fits your gifts, interests, and talents.
“…whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:40
Serving at NorthEast involves four simple steps:
- Ministry Application
- Fill out a Ministry Application. It’ll take about ten minutes and will give us an idea of your availability, interests, and gifts.
- Background check
- Some of our volunteer opportunities require a background check and reference check. This includes all volunteer positions that may serve with children under the age of 18 or have security access to certain areas of our facility. This helps us provide safe environments for everyone at NorthEast.
- Meet with Us
- We’ll invite you to talk further with one of our Team Leaders to discover whether this is a good fit for you and for us. If not, we’ll help you get connected to the right ministry!
- This is also an opportunity for a conversation about who we are, and answer any questions you might have.
- Try it Out.
- We encourage all of our volunteers to try it out before committing to serve. We’ll pair you up with one of our volunteers and you can serve along side of them one Sunday to make sure the position is a good fit for you.
Volunteers are scheduled on a rotating basis and serve a minimum of one Sunday a month. We utilize Planning Center/the Church Center APP to schedule all volunteer rotations.
