Do life together; in LifeGroups.

Our hope is that each person who calls this place home can know and be known by a group of people chasing hard after Jesus. And that can happen in a NorthEast LifeGroup.

A LifeGroup isn’t a commitment for life; it’s a commitment to do life – together. A typical LifeGroup consists of 4-6 family units who commit to gathering on a weekly or every-other-week basis through the fall and spring with a shift in the summer.

When forming new LifeGroups, we use these two helpful directives: stage of life and geographic location.

LifeGroups are wholistic in nature as they study, serve, smile, and celebrate together on a rhythmic basis.

STUDY

Biblically Oriented

NorthEast provides weekly, sermon-specific discussion guides curated for LifeGroups to utilize. The purpose is to continue the conversation beyond Sunday morning and have more people rowing the same direction as we all dive deeper. We desire for folks who call NorthEast home to be Biblically Oriented and LifeGroups champion and protect that time together.

SERVE

Ministry Focused + Courageously Generous

To be Ministry Focused means to connect your skillsets, gifts, and talents with opportunities for Kingdom Work. To help propel that in a group setting, each LifeGroup selects at least one gathering in the fall and one in the spring where they will serve together. Whether it’s with the NorthEast Food Pantry, a local partner like Liberty Elementary or Natalie’s Sisters, or yard work for someone in need, we believe service is at the heart of Jesus and activates a faith community in a unique way. Our God is courageously generous and serving is a simple, tangible way to reflect that value.

Relationally Connected

Part of growing together is enjoying time together. Each LifeGroup selects one gathering each season where the goal is simple: fun. Figure out what uniquely connects with your group; it could be a hike or a dog park, ax throwing or a ball game. That gathering is all about building community.

CELEBRATE

Culturally Engaged

Jesus loves parties. And we do, too. Each season, LifeGroups select a holiday to celebrate together. For example, this fall, your group could throw a collective Birthday Party, a Friendsgiving, or an Ugly Sweater Christmas Party. In the spring, you could go on a Valentine’s Group Date, throw a Watch Party for the Super Bowl or March Madness, or have an Easter Party with an egg hunt! But here’s the idea: when you share a holiday with someone, you often discover things about one another that you would’ve never known otherwise. So…when’s the party?
